Greatness By Year

This section highlights the top 20 players who earned the most greatness points each year.

Important: What we are measuring here is greatness—not simply “the best players.” Greatness is defined by what a player has accomplished in the major tournaments of each year, balanced with their individual skill. This distinction cannot be overstated: do not confuse being the best with achieving greatness. For a deeper explanation, see the Overview.

Another Note: The formula is year-specific. Sustaining consistency within a single year is far more attainable than across the entire history of competitive Fortnite. Similarly, earnings are relative to their respective year. As a result, a player’s points from individual years do not sum to the overall Greatness Index score presented on the site.
